This consulting service is intended to help companies to use information taken from our compensation surveys to develop a better approach to compensation management and strategies to assist in attracting, retaining and motivating key employees. This approach includes the use of management tools such as job analysis and design and job evaluation to define and "size" jobs. The objective of this process is to develop and implement compensation strategies which will be internally equitable and externally competitive. To ensure that salary structures are up-to-date, information taken from MERC Remuneration/ Compensation Surveys forms an integral part of our approach to Compensation Management. A client's project would typically result in the development and/ or adjustment of salary grades and ranges, and in the introduction of computer based administrative tools to assist the organisation with compensation administration. A Compensation Management project may also include the development and implementation of a structured approach to Performance Management which is then integrated as a part of the Compensation Management strategy and process.
