An international steel producer wishes to recruit an experienced Channel/ Market Development Manager for its construction materials subsidiary. This new position will take charge of cannel marketing activities of pre-engineering buildings using cold rolled pre-galvanized, hi-tensile steel sections for long life and low maintenance - to replace the black-welded mild steel for construction of factories, residential and office buildings.

There are over 2,000 standard designs for use in agriculture, manufacturing, warehousing, commerce, government, and domestic applications.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Channel/ Market Development Manager will:

• Develop channel strategy, account management plans and channel marketing tactics
  
• Manage resellers adherence to contracts and channel policy
  
• Drive customer’s brand awareness through marketing communications and brand management
  
• Capture, analyze, report on competitors, provide effective countermeasures in a professional manner
  
• Develop and maintain the pricing model/ pricing process (promotion features)
  
• Control the department’s budget
  
• Produce and control marketing brochures, leaflets, manuals, newsletters including shop design/ layout
  
• Initiate, organize marketing activities, events and evaluate its impact
  
• Communicate, monitor, assess margins of each channel through the pricing process
  
• Monitor, produce quarterly performance reports (by channel, by product)

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age around 30 - 35 years
  
• Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  
• At least 5 years experience in a strategic marketing operations for an international brand; background in channel marketing for an international franchisee would be valuable or retail/ trade outlets
  
• Knowledge of pricing model and brand management
  
• Previous experience in starting a new business would be an asset
  
• Strong organizational, presentation, communications, and negotiation skills
  
• Good command of spoken and written English
