A leading manufacturer and marketer of plastic lining products – high density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) geo-membrane products with a worldwide presence in the following markets – agriculture, civil construction, golf courses, mining, power generation, waste water management, and other industrial applications. The subsidiary in Thailand, with a plant on the eastern seaboard and an office in Bangkok, currently wishes to appoint an energetic Cost Accountant to join the team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Cost Accountant will:

• Capture data from other departments to create and update standard costing
  
• Prepare variance analysis of actual against standard cost
  
• Calculate for the quarter forecasts and follow-up actual performance against forecasts
  
• Analyze profit and loss variances, measure and analyze productivity indicators
  
• Calculate transfer price and control variation, match sales accounts against ERP data, follow-up margins by product, product line, and customer
  
• Control purchasing prices, BOM, expenditures
  
• Prepare monthly reports on management meetings, exchange rate, expenditures by department, etc.

Qualifications and Skills required:

• Thai national, age around 26 - 30 years
  
• Degree in Accountancy
  
• Minimum 3 years experience in cost accounting of a manufacturing business
  
• Familiarity with ERP system, MS Office, and other accounting software
  
• Proactive, goal-oriented with good analytical, calculation, and interpersonal skills
  
• Good command of both spoken and written English
