A leading manufacturer of consumer products wishes to appoint a Costing Manager to manage its back-up support operations and facilitate overall business management.

The Costing Manager will report to the Financial Controller and will:

• Work closely with the production team to conduct financial analysis of direct materials cost, indirect materials consumption, labor analysis, overhead spending and other related expenditures
  
• Assist the production management in identifying causes of high expenditure and suggest potential areas and actions for cost-reduction
  
• Capture data from other departments to analyze expenditure structure and propose measures for the cost control objectives
  
• Calculate quarterly forecasts, follow-up on actual performance and profitability
  
• Provide solutions for cash/ financial management, recommend appropriate control mechanism for cost-reduction in all functions
  
• Control and analyze capital expenditure (CAPEX) and assist in financial analysis of new business development
  
• Identify productivity indicators, analyze profit and loss variances, provide explanations on variances
  
• Ensure accuracy of data, prepare monthly expenditure reports (by department) and other reports as required by the senior management team 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Thai national, age over 30 years
  
• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  
• Minimum 8-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment of a multinational firm
  
• Strong analytical ability with knowledge of modern financial products
  
• Keen on operating computation and communications applications (SAP, MS Office)
  
• Industrious, conscientious, able to cope with pressure, and strong communications skills
  
• Comfortable to travel between the Bangkok Office and sites upcountry
  
• Good command of both written and spoken English
