A leading developer and manufacturer of automotive safety systems wants to appoint an experienced Commodity Manager for its plant in Chonburi.

Reporting to the ASEAN Purchasing Manager, the Commodity Manager will:

• Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategy and operational plan in alignment with corporate strategy and business directions
• Enforce work policy/ procedures and monitor actual practices to ensure strict conformance
• Ensure competitive procuring terms and conditions on par of required quality level
• Ensure that each commodity supplier appoint its contact person to supervise transactions with the company and capable to tackle on quality issues
• Manage the commodity network throughout ASEAN as well as execute continuous improvement (cost, quality, service, efficiency) across the network
• Manage VA/VE scheme and cost-effectiveness measures to support long-term business
• Maintain-up-to-date supplier database and supply database

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai nationality, age over 30 years
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience in procurement management of a manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of product standards, quality management standards, and environment standard
• Keen on operating MS Office, ERP, Lotus Notes applications
• Strong organizational, computation, communication, and negotiation skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English; communicative Japanese would be advantage
