A British company providing engineering design and project management services for the oil and gas, chemical and power generation industries wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Process Engineer. The corporation employs over 1,250 people working in 14 offices worldwide.

Based in the Bangkok Office, the Lead Process Engineer will:

• Prepare conceptual design, detailed design, and option studies of on-shore oil and gas facilities:
  • oil and gas gathering stations, separation plants, transfer pipelines and flare systems
  • gas pipelines, compression, metering facilities and pressure reduction stations, blow-down and relief systems
  • crude oil and multi-product pipelines, pumping, surge-relief, metering, storage and distribution facilities
• Prepare process design basis
• Select equipment technology and calculate sizing
• Prepare process flow schematics, P&ID's and process data sheets
• Conduct process simulation and hydraulic analysis using HYSYS, PROII, PIPESIM, TLNET software
• Calculate gas dispersion and flare radiation using Shell-FRED and FlareNet
• Prepare man-hour estimates and summaries and progress reports

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age 30 years up
• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering field with engineering license class II
• Minimum 8 years experience in engineering process within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries
• Overseas work experience would be an advantage, particularly in a Middle East country
• Experience in supervising a small project team of engineers and designers
• Knowledge in international codes, SHE and quality management standards
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Result-oriented, with organizing, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English
