A subsidiary of a leading Australian-owned engineering project contractor serving industrial clients in Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical and Mineral Processing, wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Process Engineer. Thailand is the base for the company's regional management and engineering center.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will:

• Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers in the front-end or detail engineering project phase
• Prioritize tasks, follow project schedule, and supervise a group of engineers to ensure that project activities are completed within deadlines and to the accuracy required
• Lead the preparation of equipment specifications, requirements and data sheets
• Lead the preparation of materials take-off, mechanical BOQ, and cost estimation of vessel and equipment
• Review vendor data and equipment manufacturing drawings
• Assist in the preparation of proposals as required

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, aged over 30 years
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field
• 10 years experience in one or more of the following industry sectors - oil and gas, oil refining, petrochemicals, clean fuels, bio-fuels
• Computer literate in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge in vessel design and calculation code, ASME Sec VIII Div: 1, API 650 and 620 etc.
• Experience with an engineering consulting firm is an advantage
• Strong analytical ability, with good organizing, communications, and problem-solving skills
• Energetic and willing to contribute to innovation
• Good command in both written and spoken English
