A long established multi-national company producing and distributing specialty chemicals wishes to employ a highly experienced Production Manager. In Thailand the company has 4 specialty chemical business units that have achieved positions of global leadership; the production base is in Klaeng, Rayong.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager will:

• Prepare the production plan/ schedules in line with business objectives and sales forecasts
• Establish work procedures for all production processes and monitor staff practices to ensure strict conformance
• Communicate across departments to ensure smooth operations of the engineering, production, QC, and packaging functions
• Ensure effective maintenance program of machinery and plant's facilities
• Ensure required competency and performance of the production staff through contribution to the recruitment, training, supervision, and performance appraisal
• Monitor to ensure strict practices with product standards and related quality management standards
• Participate in regular productivity improvement and quality management meetings with all department heads

Qualifications and skills required:

• Thai national, age over 35 years
• Degree in Chemistry Engineering; MBA would be preferable
• Minimum 10 years experience in production control; food manufacturing background would be advantage
• Background in managing Safety, ISO 9000, GMP, HACCP standards as well as productivity improvement schemes
• Strong organizing, analysis, decision-making, communications, and people management skills
• Computer literate
• Comfortable to be based in Klaeng, Rayong
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
